OUTREACH

At Fellowship, we understand that whatever grand theological position we might form inside the sanctuary on Sunday doesn’t matter very much if it’s not lived out in the world beyond our doors.  Faith without works, the author of the book of James says, is dead.

So, we partner with local organizations, giving of our time and resources in places that are helping to build the common good.  We work with the Tulsa Day Center, providing food and clothing for their work supporting the unhoused.  We give to the Little Blue House and the Wesley Foundation at the University of Tulsa because they are inclusive spaces on a mostly exclusive campus.  We support Planned Parenthood and the Roe Fund because women’s healthcare is crucially important. We are major supporters of the Queer Lit library because we believe that banning books is anathema to a free society, and we contribute to the Council Oak Men’s Chorale because we affirm the necessity of art for all people.  We give to Youth Services, The Common Good, Meals on Wheels, Tulsa Metropolitan Ministry, Black History Saturdays and many other great causes that help make Tulsa a better place to live for everyone.

We are proud to be a church that “reverse tithes,” sending over 10% of our budget out the door to help make our community stronger…and we want that percentage to grow!  Our Outreach committee is always looking for new members, new ideas and new opportunities to reach out!  If you’re interested, you can reach out to our Minister of Outreach, Rev. J.D. Morrison!
