Justin DaMetz was born and raised in rural Kansas, just outside of Wichita. Prior to joining the staff FCC, he was an elementary school teacher with Tulsa Public Schools.

Justin obtained his BA in Political Science from Oklahoma City University in 2011, and his MA in Theology and Ethics from Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary, in Chicago IL, in 2019. He has spent time working in the political arena, including for the Oklahoma House Democratic Caucus. He also previously served as the Worship Coordinator for All Souls Unitarian Church, and as the Programs Director for The Little Blue House, an open and affirming campus ministry at TU.

Justin resides in Tulsa with his wife Tabitha, who is the librarian  at Hoover Elementary School, and his three children: Julian,  Evelyn,  and Hollis. The family loves traveling, finding  fun new places to eat, and hunting for rocks and crystals.
